Hoarse cry

My 3 month old son has developed a hoarse cry over the past few days. He has no real signs of a cold apart from sneezing and doesn't seem to be in any discomfort. Is this just symptomatic of a sore throat? Do you think I should get him to the doctors?

Thanks

Could be teeth? Or a particularly difficult nappy?

Thansk for your input nursie,

He's been drooling for a couple of weeks so he might be teeth on the way, though I wasn't aware teething gave babies a hoarse cry. I'm not sure what you meant about having a difficult nappy...he's not crying anymore than usual, it's just that when he does cry I've noticed he's always hoarse.

He's a good baby who rarely cries, and now with this 'huskiness' he does sound awfully sweet, but I'm a little concerned it may indicate something more serious.

He may well have a cold but if his temperature is normal and he is feeding well, you do not need to go to the doctor.
