Any natural remedies for migraines?

I was diagnosed a while ago but tbh was in denial. I am now accepting the doctor was right. I am having daily migraines and more than one a day. I am on other medication so unsure what I can take - paracetomol does nothing - and keen to try natural and none drug methods. The pain is so bad I feel sick. Any suggestions are gratefully received.

Thank you so much, Ooopsadaisy. I hadn't heard about that before. Smile

Double ah well, there goes my plan off getting rid of migraines AND looking 10 years younger.

I will look at the acupuncture (eek hate needles) and the Feverfew. I've drunk Buckfast before, so it can't be that bad.

I agree with recognising triggers, mine are goats cheese, red wine, some marshmallows, leaf tea and dark chocolate. If I avoid these I rarely get them. Taking migraleve and resting minimise the effect on me.

Feverfew is very bitter but tbh I'd rather have the horrible taste than a migraine so I don't really care. (I believe it can damage the inside of your mouth but have never had that happen.)
The first time I ever had it was an infusion with honey in to sweeten it.

Beta blockers can be taken daily as an alternative to SSRI's.

Ask your GP about them when you see him.
It took me years to find effective medication, for me BB's did the trick.
