Dh returned from SA this am on an overnight flight and had a sore calf. went to gp then to a and e at around 12 today and is STILL waiting fro an ultrasound - he has to wait for all tHe out patients (pg muMS ETC) TO FINISH...

bloody hell. he may have a clot and has had recent knee surgery that puts him at an increased risk.

BTw when I was having scans mine were always late because of non pg people.

was he wearing flight socks?
and does he travel regularly?my dh mothers husband (2nd) got it and but is absolutely fine now, he hAD to stay in hospital in spain where it happened and is now on warfarin everyday, he smokes! and had driven from UK to spain non stop practically.

i had phlebitus , 1st cousin, from standing at my work.

he has done the right thing by going straight away and should get a 2nd opinion after the NEGATIVE results come though

ok cod family health update.

after kicking up a HUGE fuss dh was pronounced 95% unlikely to have one.Has to take aspirin for 2 weeks.
My vertigo is going. only when I found myself at the top of a helter skelter at our local fair last night did this occur to me!!

ds3 coughing for Britain

I'm glad he's ok, Coddy. I know a few people who've had dvt and it's a pita, what with continual blood tests and so on. I'm pleased your dizziness is going, too!
