Youngest twins appt has finally came through. He seen doc at gastro clinic on 29th and they phoned yesterday to inform us that the barium is happening on wednesday 14th at 2pm.

How they are going to get a 23 month old child to swallow that stuff when he has problems swallowing anyway is beyond me but they know best.

Just have to wait on the CDC appt coming in now and also th dietician one too, maybe just maybe we will get somewhere

jambo, have had one myself as an adult (was quite unpleasant but as I understood what was happening, I guess a lot more bearable!).

Here is the great ormond street site - it is usually brilliant at explaining what happens. Do you know what type of barium test they are having - meal, swallow, enema? Go down to the bottom (under the title fluroscopy) and then click on the relevant test.

Thanks for the link foxinsocks, I had loads of unanswered questions about it too.
