Sore lump on my gum,,,,,what are the chances that it will disappear by itself?

It's up by where the gum hits the lip and it's on the bone.....and it really hurts

I'm going on a course tomorrow and I hope it goes away by itself - cos I don't have time to see the dentist

What are my Chances?

And with regards to the phobia, the only way to get over phobias is to face the fear head on. After stress free treatment your fear will subside, but as we know, phobias are often with us for life.

Get some comfort from the fact that many of the dentist I have worked with are the biggest phobics themselves. One actually took up dentistry to help him over the phobia. We used to have to give him gas & air!

And I have had many a fireman, policeman, men built like the proverbial in the dental chair who have had phobias. It's not just you!
