Pale looking child

DS is 3.8 and is looking quite pale. He usually has a good colouring but I noticed today how pale he looks. He also has dark rings around his eyes.

He is eating well, but isn't sleeping well, he keeps waking up far too early. He has had a cough for the past 3 weeks with a lovely snotty nose (I mean big green caterpillars!) I have been giving him multivitamins but wondered if I should take him to the Drs. The only difference in his behaviour is he has got clingy to me.

Sounds like a big snottery cold virus.
Should probably take him to the doc's to be on the safe side tho

Iron levels low? Does he eat green veg, or baked beans?
My ds1 is always pretty pale and has the same dark rings under eyes - he looks horribly sickly but has the constitution of a concrete elephant.
Would go to dr's if you're worried.

He has quite a good diet, he isn't that fussy. He has been sleeping quite well for the past few nights so if the pale colour was due to lack of sleep, I hope to see an improvement.

He had an accident last night, he fell off the back of our chair and hurt his ribs and neck by landing on the are of the chair. Then at school this morning, he ran into a gate and now has a cut across his cheek. Poor little thing isn't having a great time lately.

I think if he's had a cough for 3 weeks I'd take him to the doctor, especially if it's disturbing his sleep (my GP told me 2 weeks is 'normal' for a cough)

LOL at green caterpillars! (the description I mean)
