how long is empitigo contageous?

With treatment obviously. Dont know how long to have off work thats all.

Do you have antibiotics? If so, I think that you are ok within a couple of days, but I kept dd away from school for a week to be sure.

Probably tmi, but it's the weepy fluid in the blisters that's the really infectious part. Once they've dried up, all is well. Luckily impetigo seems to go quickly with AB's - hope you're better soon.I caught it from my dd

Children are worse with it because they are not aware about remembering not to scratch it and physically mix up more than grown ups.

I understood that after 48 hrs of ab's it is usually ok. At our school they can return with ab's or sooner if covered up by clothing, althoguh they are not overly happy with that.
