Blocked ear

I've had a blocked ear for a week now - think it came about from a cold which has pretty much cleared up. I've tried drops but they don't seem to work. Any advice?

steam face two or three times a day. boiling water with smelly minty oil drop things (olbas oil is good).
that's what my doctor recommends - my ear blocks up every single time I get a cold. not sure how doc expects working mums to do this three times a day, but it does work and help, even if you only do it in the evening.

Thank you - reminded me that I have a steam inhaler thingy so will drag that out tonight. Has had quite good side effects as DH is the only one to hear ds' when they wake ...
