Pain in side, what could it be?

It's just under my rib cage on my left side. I've had it for about 3 days now and it's like a dull ache.

There is a chance I might be pg (not getting my hopes up) and I'm due AF anytime from Friday.

If I might be pg, could it be something to do with that?

It's not agonising, more annoying tbh.

Inter-costal muscle strain?
Chest cold?

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 30/11/2005 14:30

What does Inter-costal mean?

It could be a strain but tcannot think of anything I have done to cause it IYSWIM.

Could I get chest cold in my side?

Inter costal just means the muscles in between the ribs. They're quite easy to pull or strain.

I;ve had pains on my right side recently. I think it's because of a lung infection.

MrsSpoon · 30/11/2005 14:34

A thorn?

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 30/11/2005 14:35

Oh dear, lung infection

It's like a wave of pain every couple of seconds. I might book an appt with the gp if it persists.

I'd go to thedoctor esp if you have got a cough or cold at all?

trace2 · 30/11/2005 14:45

you are still going on sat, NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles but i hope you get better, do you think you are pg

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 30/11/2005 14:50

I haven't got a cold or a cough. I feel fine apart from this niggling pain.

Am still going on Saturday Trace, yes. I'm going to do a pg test on Sat morn and see. Don't want to be drinking if I am.

oh am exicted for you will keep fingers crossed

madmarchhare · 30/11/2005 14:53

Do you pick up/hold DD on your lefthand side. I had simillar on the right and GP said that it was down to DS. Dont carry him around as much these days and its gone.

WigWamBam · 30/11/2005 14:55

I think you should see the GP with it, particularly if there's a chance you could be pregnant (fingers crossed for you there, btw).

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 30/11/2005 15:02

I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes up. I really want to test now but I think it might be too early (day 22)

If it carries on I'll definatley get it seen to. Like I said it's more annoying than painful.

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles how are you this morning?

NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles · 01/12/2005 22:28

The pain has gone completly from my side now.

Thanks for asking

Although I did wake up with a pain going across my lower stomache, just above pelvis. That lasted all morning but has gone now.
