hello just wanted to ask about your experiences after a first baby.
i have pcos and suffered a few miscarriages, now have 6m dd. i put on a lot of weight which i am finding hard to shift.

before pg i controlled symptoms with diet and exercise, this kept depression at bay. not much time for this now. i want to sort it out and get ready to try for second baby.

No personal experience of this, but my sister is in the same boot as you. Has dd now 3, and has been trying for no.2 Had a m/c earlier this year and then found out she had pcos (never knew before). She altered her diet and increased excercise and was due to start taking some hormone treatment, but found out she was expecting and is now 12 weeks into the pregnancy. Not really much in the way of advice or info there, but I hope it gives you a little glimmer of hope perhaps. And I'm sure someone more knoledgable will be along at some point.

Hi,

Would suggest you have a look at Verity's website:-

www.verity-pcos.org.uk

Verity is the UK based organsiation specifically to help women with PCOS.

PCOS can be controlled but not cured. Diet (low GI seems to be beneficial for PCOS patients) and exercise can help. Even pushing your baby around the park is a form of exercise; it does not have to be the gym. Being within the correct weight for your height will also help with symptoms.
