The pharmacist has just told my mum that Tixylix cough syrup isn't suitable for children under 6. I'm sure the bottle I've just finished with DD (2.5) was suitable for tinies. Have I been overdosing my baby or is the pharmacist telling fibs?

There has been a change in the prescribing guidelines for cough medicines, and some of them are indeed no longer recommended for children under 6. The Tixylix website has some info here.
