Ds has a cold and a really tickly cough, was coughing all night and is still at it now.

Whats the best thing to give him during the day ??

I find Medised usually works at night, but last night he wouldn't swallow it.

I get loads of tickly coughs, partly due to being a teacher...(say no more on that subject as to why....)

I take dequacaine lozenges at night which are meant to be for very sore throats, but numb back of throat to stop coughing, so you can get some sleep.

During day just suck loads of boiled sweets. Strepsils used to do something called tickly cough strepsils which were really good, but haven't seen them for ages. You can get some cough medicine, but I've never found it any use.
