Do you have a period that is bright red the whole time?

My last two periods have been unsually light, this one was particularly strange and stopped after a day and half and just been spotting since. Today I had not bled all day until tonight when I had a gush and when I went to toilet shortly after there was nothing on the toilet roll.

I know this sounds disgusting but a normal period for me is about 7 days, with day 3 being the heaviest and having to wear a couple of night pads so i dont go on the sheets. I normally start off browny colour that slowly changes to dark red, get a few blood clots and generally there is blood everytime I wipe until ut slowly stops by day 7.

These last two periods have been so light that they totally stop at points.

This one I would not even really call a period and it has been bright bright red from the beginning, no clots, its just comes in the odd gush with absolutley nothing in between or at night.

Have you experienced this?

I am not pregnant and started other threads around this but wanted to check about other peoples periods.

Many thanks

I used to. Now they range from barely red liquid to dark reddy/brown / nearly black.

How old are you?

Maybe a trip to the GP would help to reassure you? I am much older than you! Blush

I spoke to gp today and she did not really have much advice really??? I guess she does not think its a problem.

If my next one is as light I think I'll see another doc for their opinion.
