Is this a prolapse or is it normal?

Sorry to be a bit graphic but if i sit on the loo or lie on the bed and bear down then i get three what i can only describe as lumps swelling outside of my vagina. If I put my finger in i can feel my cervix very near the entrance. Is this normal?

When did you have your last baby?

starlover · 26/11/2005 20:27

it sounds like it coul dbe a prolapse... go to your doctor!

spidermama · 26/11/2005 20:32

The reason I ask is because things are still loose for months after having a baby. If you're breast feeding the hormones make the whole arrangment even slacker. When you stop bf-ing it'll tighten up.
It's worth going to the doctor though. I'm seeing a physio for something similar.

It's a good idea to have it looked at now, especially if you're not planning any more kids. They can do surgery, or even physio can go a long way to improving things.

Yes I have, and recently have had swab done for smear. But if i'm just led down then it all appears normal, its only if i bear down.

Don't us women have to go to the docs with the most embarassing problems
