Twiglett's dd has pneumonia

I was hassling Twiglett to come to the meet up and got a reply explaining she couldn't as her (very lovely) dd (18 months I think) has been admitted for pneumonia.

The Twiggy one say "she'll be fine but needs IV antibiotics". I think they spent most of the day in the hossie, and judging by her MN absence, I imagine she has returned there this evening.

MN healing vibes being sent your way, little Twiglettina. X

Tamba · 25/11/2005 20:18

((( twigglet and family )))

My ds had this when he was 10 months and was in hospital for a week, but he recovered really well and had no lasting problems from it.

Hope she gets better really soon

Love and light xxx

Oh dear, poor little twiggy and poor little yorkie .

Hope both are back to their normal selves ASAP, and hugs to them and their mummies XXX

SoupDragon · 25/11/2005 21:13

Went through this last year with DS1 - horrid. He made a speedy and full recovery once they started antibiotics so here's hoping for a similar magic to work on the Twiglettette. (hope the yorklette is better soon too!)

superblastofflips · 25/11/2005 21:15

get well very soon XXXXX

JonesTheSteam · 25/11/2005 21:37

Poor dd (and Yorkie dd). Bless her, hope she recovers quickly. And hope you do too, Twig.

mummyhill · 26/11/2005 09:58

Hope mini twig and mini yorkie feel well soon.

Twiglett · 26/11/2005 10:12

awww .. the Twig-lette is fine and dandy and she actually managed to take some oral antibiotics so we are home

thanks for all good wishes

.. btw viral pneumonia seems pretty rife at the moment and I would never have known from her cough (very minor about twice a night) nor her snotty nose .. it was just my inability to bring down her temperature despite calpol / nurofen and stripping off that made me call NHS direct, who sent me to A&E who finally did a chest x-ray to diagnose .. paed said that 80% of the cases admitted ATM were viral pneumonia

I think what I'm waffling about is to be vigilent

hunkermunker · 26/11/2005 10:17

REALLY glad to hear that she's OK, Twig - have been thinking of you all. That's scary about it being pneumonia but not being obvious - I suppose it's better it wasn't horribly obvious though x x x x

puff · 26/11/2005 10:32

Glad she's improved Twiglett

hub2dee · 26/11/2005 10:35

Glad to hear she took the oral ABs, T, and that she is home with you. Brill.

... the extra info about viral pneumonia and the cough temp is also v. useful. Thanks.
