Foot lump

A kind of bony lump has appeared on the top of my foot. It feels hard and doesn't hurt. The GP has sent me for an x-ray. Being a bit of a drama queen I'm worried...
Has anyone ever had anything like this. It's pea sized

Could be a ganglion.....is it over a tendon?

Does sound like a ganglion. I had one, bit bigger than that though - ached a bit, then went away after a few weeks. The GP thought mine was infected, which is why it hurt/swelled up a bit.
They didn't bother x-raying mine but probably good, for hard evidence!
Obviously, I googled 'foot cancer' expecting such a thing not to exist, and got the usual punishment for googling....
Am sure you will be fine, but totally understand the worrying!
