GP says I need to choose if 3 y.o. DS needs stitches on his chin

Apparently it'll heal regardless, but maybe scar.

DH says 'stitch' to reduce risk of him reopening cut, and avoiding e.g. Shaving difficulty when he's older.

DM says not to put the little blghter through the discomfort.

WWYD? what's the consequence of either choice?

I'd go for steristrips and glue - ds split his chin open, and thats what he had. He has a very neat scar which is flat, and it was done without trauma

I don't know but my DS had a huge gaping hole, forehead, and had stitches and it has healed very neat into a pale scar. Another scar he has, wasn't sticthed, has gone lumpy. I think if it is fairly wide i would go for the stitches to keep it neat.
