lol
Mine went through a phase like this and I've no idea why it stopped! I actually think I may have had an infection that just cleared up. Could you have a wee infection? Are you finding crusty yellow bits?

Sounds like you have an infection then. Ask the chemist, you'll probably be able to get AB cream. Or go to your GP.... it'll be cleared up in a jiffy!

In the meantime why don't you try bathing it with very warm salt water?

you could try some surgical spirit - used that with dd2 when she had an infection - kept it clean and dry

Cabe · 24/11/2005 02:54

Poor you Yorkie
sounds like it could be a fungal infection - I'd get your little self off to the docs hun
Hope it clears soon

BudaBabe · 24/11/2005 03:11

Happened to me once. Ws in DH's office and if sort of exploded! Yuck.

Went to doc - said it was an infection and to swab with Betadine. Cleared it up.

I get this too, I have inn-y bellybutton, very deep and its hard to keep clean

BahHumbugBadgerBadger · 24/11/2005 23:12

Sterzac or CZ powder might help. It's what I used for DD2's creases if she got sore and on DD1's bellybutton when it didn't make a clean break.

It will help to dry it plus it's antifungal.

HTH
