im getting scared

as some of you may know ive been getting headaches for a while the couldnt find anything in blood tests etc so went back today and they are sending me to hospital for tests and scans the doc said it could be glandular (sp) and he wasnt gonna talk about what else it could be cos it would just worry me. now im sitting thinking about the bad things it could be

I'm sure it's nothing.... have you had your eyes tested? Do they think it could be Glandular Fever?

When will you go for more tests?

the doc said if i dont get an appointment in 2 weeks let him know and he will make sure im seen

Star sorry to hear you are suffering and now worrying. I know it's hard but just try not to until you go for the further tests.

Has your GP given you painkillers? What about an eye test - do you wear glasses or lenses at the mo?

Make sure you drink loads of water too - dehydration causes headaches. Hope you feel better soon.

Please try not to wrry.... easier said than done I bet! But there are a HUGE number of things it could be that arent sinister.

Gewt your eyes tested if you already havent. i got awful headaches for months, my doc said, oh your eyes would be terrible if it was eyestrain blah blah, and perscribe some really strong painkillers. which knocked me out and got rid of the headaches. i though i;d get my eyes checked anyway, as the pain got worse and worse, turned out i am shortsighted in one eye, longsighted in the other, only slightly as well, but that was what was causing the pain. hardly even had headaches now.

Poor you .... at least they're following it up though. Worrying won't change a thing so please try and relax and adopt all the measures you can think of to improve your headaches.

the gp gave me realy strong anti inflamitories as he said there was some swellin behind my eyes. drinking loads wearing my glasses. just had an eye test and was told it wasnt that

i feel bad cos banana isnt getting the attention she normally does just feed her and put her in her bumbo with her fav toys feel like im a crap mum

dont be silly of course you're not a crap mum - just a poorly one at the moment doing the best you can. She will be fine. Do you manage to sleep OK or does the pain keep you awake?

takes a while to get to sleep then wake up whith it as bad as ever

have you tried spraying your pillow with something to relax you (Radox do a nice one)? Might help a bit to get you off. Window open a bit too (even in the Artic conditions )

lol ive tried lavender hot baths etc nothing works just want to get to the bottom of it

kapak and anti inflamitories also using 4head

I've just noticed you have baby. I don't know how old s/he is but when I was breastfeeding ds I had a terrible headache everytime immediately after feeding. Despite drinking loads of water, nothing helped and I'm afraid after nearly a month of this I gave up and bottle fed. The headaches ceased within 24 hrs. And I only had gas and air too.

kapak is a painkiller i got after a car accident they are so strong docs wont prescribe them you can only get them in hospital

Oh no how awful. Hope you weren't too badly hurt. Could the headaches be related to that?
