Meningitis symptom cards.......................

Some of you may have read my other thread about the lady who didn't want a Meningitis symptoms card as "hardly anyone gets Meningitis"

If you would like one you can e mail or ring

[email protected] or call 01453 768000

It is the Meningitis Trust and they will send you a symptoms card free of charge to carry in your wallet

What a good idea - thanks for the info

We nearly lost our DD to it a few years back. Even though she survived it has devastated our family and turned our lives upsidedown

It really is worth getting one of these cards.

Even if you think you know the symptoms off by heart (as another lady told me!) you may forget in the panic if your child was ever ill

Friends were saying today that local paper carried a story of a 9 month local baby this week who has died of meningitis, he had been poorly for a week, eventually taken into hospital and died.

My neighbour lost her 9 month old grandson at the weekend to Meningitis. It DOES happen

please read this weeks take a break, my sister in law, AMYJADE is in it telling her story, her DD died in april of pneumococcal meningitis, the scary thing with this type is hardly any smptoms that you would recognise. i know most of you will have read the thread on it but just want to spread the word.

izzybiz

I am waiting for my Mum to pass her mag onto me so I can read it.

Ellie also had pneumococcal meningitis, she was so close to death, life support etc, she survived but with a lot of problems.

I think about you and your family lots.

I was so annoyed this week as I tried to give some Mums at School some Symptoms cards out and one said "oh I dont want to think about it, hardly anyone gets it anyway"

As you can imagine I was fuming.

Another lady said that she wouldnt take one as she knew it all off by heart! Clever isn't she?! In panic you dont know what you will or won't remember
