First period after pregnancy

I have birth to my first baby 10 weeks ago and just having my first period now. It's very heavy and I've had quite a few clots (one particularly big), is this normal????

Yep! My first one was horrible, second and third too, big clots etc. All calmed down, eventually and back to normal quite soon.
