here's a new thread everyone! Come and join us for a smokeless Christmas.

Very low budget for us this year, cc! What are your girls having? Dd's asked for books and a fluffy dressing gown! I'd like to get her something a bit more exciting though. She's got very into drawing lately so may go for some arty crafty stuff. And she's ever-mad on soft toys so there'll be a few cute things in her stocking.

What you getting your boys, drop?

And WHERE are all the other quitters?????

kleist · 08/12/2005 18:37

Nope, I'm fresh as a daisy. Well, not exactly a daisy, a bit long in the tooth for that. Fresh as a clean tea towel.

notasheep · 09/12/2005 22:09

Hi its me again, the one that stopped for 3 years and started again, stopped for 18months and started again so hope this will be 3rd time lucky.I WILL wake up on Monday a non smoker,I know i can do it!! from past experience. Its all in the mind i know.Nicotine brainwashes!!!

charlietherednosedpussy · 10/12/2005 09:03

Nicotine does brainwash..have you been to whyquit.com or read Allen carr. They both help dissolve the brainwashing
Mondays a good day to start...you will be a couple of weeks ahead of the new year quitters

kleist · 10/12/2005 15:31

You know what, though, cc? Our current thread title doesn't say anything about smoking so even if someone was interested in quitting, unless they knew of our previous threads, they wouldn't read any of this.

Hellllooooo by the way How's yer whisker?

Have to admit, on that point, the last two threads have rather been a shrine to Charlie, have they not?

kleist · 10/12/2005 15:53

Ok, new thread titles please? I've done them all for ages. Someone else use their creative wit?

Off to wake dd, she's poorly. I just heard her muttering in her sleep 'it's not the end of the world' over and over ... Dread to think what she's dreaming!

charlietherednosedpussy · 10/12/2005 16:21

here

charlietherednosedpussy · 10/12/2005 17:36

Yeah Its full of folks on the new one

notasheep · 10/12/2005 22:01

Yes I have read Allen Carr over and over,so i know i can stop! and I think New Years Day is the worst time as you are under so much pressure! So Monday it is-the way i get my head round it is there is no choice-I cant have a cigarette full stop rather than shall i or shant i.I go cold turkey and put myself in all the vunerable situations from the start-so i will have to go to a smoky pub on Monday!
