Mine are always giving me problems. They are now the size of tennis balls, normally they're golf balls! It's only gojng to get worse as I get older, isn't it?

Does it hurt?

I'm back and tonsil-free! I got them out wednesday afternoon at about 3pm and got back to the ward just before 7pm, spent the night throwing up (which was mostly due to the anesthetic and the morphine), slept all thursday morning and came home that afternoon. Yesterday was spent in bed and I've not really moved from the sofa today. I've got some good painkillers and they seem to be doing the job, i'd say it's less painful than the last bout of tonsillitis I had but I just feel wiped out. I do have a really gross, cloggy feel/taste in my throat though. The doctor told me to stay home/away from crowds, public transport etc for two weeks.

It's not as bad as I expected it to be and I actually have less pain and swelling than I had after having my wisdom teeth out. Hope that's kind of reassured you Monkeytrousers!

Glad to hear you are feeling better, take it easy for a few days. My downfall was being far to quick to get up and about.
