Abnormal breast ultrasound today. What next?

This morning, I went to the tit doctor for a mammogram. I thought that was the end of it, and got dressed. Doctor knocked on the changing room door and asked me to come into another room. I did and he asked me to lay on the table. I had an ultrasound (sticky) and he did the left one quickly, found a couple of cysts then moved to the right. He spent a long time going over one particular place then told me he was concerned. He said he wanted me to go for an MRI this afternoon. I can't have MRIs due to a clip in my brain.
He is going to phone me tomorrow with what he describes as a different proposal.
I don't want to google, but what could the different proposal be? I am in Belgium which probably explains the speed of MRI and there is no history of BC in my immediate family.

oh that is bloody rude of him, kreecher! Wink
But he really should have left a message for you or something.
Stay calm, it'll be ok. :)

He just phoned. I am having an US guided biopsy on July 5th. Plenty of time for me to fret then.
He did stress that it was extremely unlikely to be anything sinister given my age. I did point out that I was 47 and post menopausal. That shut him up. He tried to claw some ground back by saying, but you look younger Grin

Good you know the date - bit of a shame it's a wait though. I'd bet he's right and it's nothing, but fret with us if you want to.

At least it won't interfere with the travel plans though, will it? And if he's happy to wait that long, it's a good sign, honestly. And he phoned you on his day off! That's very good.

Good you have a date, and you now know what procedure you are having. Remember checking breast anomolies out is standard practice. They always do it even if the likelihood of a problem is pretty slim. Keep posting if it takes your mind off things, or wander over to Tamoxifen and have a bit of cake Smile

Lemon drizzle on Tamoxifen today. mmmm.... Smile

Update for you loverly people. I went this morning and the titman did another ultrasound. Nothing there. I was so happy I let DD have donuts for breakfast.
So many thanks for keeping me in a decent frame of mind.
