Two questions about doing sit ups

Hi. I'm trying to sort out my tummy :)

When you do sit ups, are you supposed to tilt your pelvis up while you do them?

ALso, if my jaw starts to ache am I doing something wrong?

THanks :)

I imagine your jaw hurts because you're clenching your teeth?
I think you're supposed to keep your pelvis straight.

But for your stomach the best thing is to lay down and do horizontal and vrtical 'scizzors' with your legs- but keep them just a few inches off the ground. It kills but works.

or scissors

Sit ups are pretty rubbish exercises for tummies. Try planks to really work your stomach muscles.

Thanks folks. I shall look up scissors and planks. :)
