I had a miscarriage recently and ended up in hospital, having lost a lot of blood. It was also the hospital I had my first daughter at. They sent me home with a letter to give to my GP and gave me a copy. Fine - seems normal.

What I am confused about is that I received some blood work results in the post yesterday showing results of tests they did before, during and after my last pregnancy and before the miscarriage and after the miscarriage. It had no letter or explanation in it, just the results.

Of course I snooped on the internet to find out what it all meant and some of them worried me. But has anyone else ever received their blood test results or is it a mistake they that were sent to me and not my GP?

no, but I have had letters from consultants at the hospital - they copy you in to let you know the letter has been sent to your GP. I imagine it could be the same with test results. I took copies of all my maternity notes before hospital whisked them away.
