how old? could it be oral thrush?

monkeytrousers · 16/11/2005 16:46

Nearly 14 months. I don't think it's thrush as it's only a few spots not a 'coating' IYKWIM. He seems a bit uncomfortable though, pulling at his tongue and off his food.

MT - Ds and I had a viral infection a few months ago which consisted of lots of little mouth ulcers. I wouldn't worry about it being any sort of deficiency.... its just that time of year again. Ds wouldn't eat anything for a few days even though he was hungry..... poor wee soul.

Any anywhere else, is he otherwise a bit unwell ? Hand, foot and mouth ?

monkeytrousers · 16/11/2005 16:52

He had his MMR last week. they said he might get a rash a week later. Do you think this is it?

Measles can cause spots in the mouth, perhaps it's a reaction to the measles part of the MMR. I'd get the GP or a pharmacist to have a look at it, there might be something they can give him to ease the soreness.

Hmm, that's probably it. I put some Calgel on his tongue tonight and got a lovely bite for my trouble! I'll pop over to the chemist tomorrow too. Thanks all. x
