...but how naked will I be? I am scheduled for a laparoscopy next week. I am more concerned with overall results of course, but am wondering about level of nakedness on table, will I be draped? totally naked whole way through? I have namechanged at sheer level of embarrassment at even asking this.

Thanks Orangeflutie, and good luck to you too.
Mine has been brought forward (gulp).
I have been in for a week (early preg, suspected ectopic, rising HCG). I will update afterwards.
thanks to all again from the bottom of my (unshaven) legs.

I had my laparoscopy yesterday. I wore my own dressing gown over a hospital gown until I was in the anasthetic room, where I had to take my dressing gown off. When I woke up I was wearing my gown and completely covered by blankets. No idea what happened in the operating room (good thing too!). Now sitting at home, recovering. No effects from yesterday's GA, though still a bit sore, (but bearable).

I had a laproscopy for endo last year. When I came round in recovery I was a bit out of it. I was trying to see my wound by pulling my gown over my head/face and baring my naked body to the 3 or 4 nurses in the room. Then I wanted to pee so two of them helped me do so slumped over a cardboard dish, still in bed. Then I puked..

TBH I didn't feel embarassed then or now. I reckon it is part of the job for people in the surgical team and they really, really couldn't care less.
