Are you happy with that diagnosis (I'm not sure from your post whether you are or not - but that's a different thread maybe Smile)

What dose are you on? - I've been on Citalopram for about 2 and a half years, initially it caused a bit of nausea - but only for a short time. Later it caused loss of libido, but that seems to have resolved itself. I've also put on weight - but I have other medication and conditions which also have that effect, so it may not be the citalopram.

I have found it helpful for my depression/anxiety - its made me feel a lot better.

the dose is 10mg to start with, then i think he will increase it at my next appointment. im willing to try anything to help me feel better. but ive taken one dose and feel as sick as a dog! he did say i would feel worse before i feel better

when I started I was told to take half a tablet for the first few days then up it to full dose - to help with sickness. It does take several weeks before you start feeling the benefit, and the sickness will go fairly soon.

I hope you find it helps, - I found that the help it provided with my depression far outweighed any side effects Smile

its more stress and anxiety than depression that i have. do you take your tablet in the morning? i think it might be better to take at night, but it says on the pack to take in mornings

I take mine at night dotty, I used to take it in the mornings, but it became easier to remember at night because thats when I take my other tablets, - I kept forgetting to take it in the morning!

I don't think it will make any difference to its effectiveness if you take it at night.

I felt sick, tired and had night mares. I take something else now.
