DH had his done 3 years ago. They wouldn't let me in with him, but its over and done with in 15/20 mins anyway. Get him to take paracetamol and ibuprofen beforehand and keep him dosed up for a couple of days. All men react differently to it. Some only get minimal bruising, and heal very quickly (DH did) and some get bruising all over and it takes a while to clear up. The surgeon will explain how long it will be before he is ahem back in the saddle and also how much work he needs to put in to ensure he gets the all clear. hope that helps

Will it hurt him?
