isn't he fabulous? - I'm also beside myself with jealousy, but he looks as if he is having a pretty good time chez Sarah Grin - he has more toys than any ravens I know!

cakesandale · 21/06/2011 13:48

he has taken to captivity like a duck to water. it's astonishing!

pinkstarlight · 21/06/2011 13:59

smee..yes was told it was a reaction to the chemo basically im overdosed in to many toxins the doctor at the hospital says she has seen it a couple of times before and it turned out to be a reaction to one of the drugs used in the tax.its also slightly effected my feet but not as bad as my hands,my eyes were also crusted but drops have sorted that out.was told that a second dose of tax of the same strenght could be dangerous even lethal and they were not prepared to take the chance so need a break from treatment and then they are going to lower the dose.

MaryAnnSingleton · 21/06/2011 14:03

iPod dock is an excellent idea - she's going to love it !!

OP posts:
cakesandale · 21/06/2011 14:12

Thanks MAS!! Smile

She is going to be seriously spoiled. DH is also sold on the dock idea, and is now also scouring the shops for a thing that lets you wear your iPod on your wrist, as recommended to him by a colleague we call 'gadgetboy'. I have told him not to go mad and buy stuff for the sake of it, but i might as well talk to myself.

Every day, as I tip stuff out the back door, they are both bringing more in through the front....

MaryAnnSingleton · 21/06/2011 14:27

Grin !! I'm getting my new toy soon (fancy all singing and dancing phone -am only accustomed to gas fired ones) am very excited !

When, when, when????

I am loving my BlackBerry, it's a world away from my old one

Exciting!

MaryAnnSingleton · 21/06/2011 14:43

it's on it's way ! I did think about a BlackBerry - but in the end decided on an HTC Wildfire here

OP posts:
cakesandale · 21/06/2011 14:45

I have heard good things about these HTC models. it is very beautiful.

Mine has some good games on

MaryAnnSingleton · 21/06/2011 14:45

btw- have been restored by cheesecake made in food tech by ds (he's home early as school closed at lunchtime for prospective yr 7s open evening preps) -very nice. I love it that he has taken the chocolate flake for decoration and rammed the two bits upright at opposite ends of the pudding Grin

How very artistic Grin

pinkstarlight · 21/06/2011 15:05

oh dear my neighbour just knocked my door and asked if i minded if he dug the border between our houses in the front garden, normally i dig the border each time i cut the grass but didnt do it when i cut the grass a few days ago as my hands are bad.its not even that bad but i said no not at all well i just had a spy and hes just dug up my lavender bush. it might be old and woody but i liked it if he gets my fushia bush which is just starting to show leaves im going to have to go out and say something.if he gets my agapantha which is just coming up im going to be tempted gto grab his spade and did up some of his plants, anyone want to live next door to an over the top house proud couple.

smee · 21/06/2011 15:10

Restoration by cheesecake sounds deserved, MAS. And that phone does looks good - am ignorant, but obviously what it looks like is vital. Grin

Pink, a friend reacted v.badly to Tax too and they took her off it. She was v.down about it until they explained it was because she'd reacted so strongly - ie it was working too well! - which of course cheered her mightily. Just warning you in case they decide to do the same for you.

Cakes a dock sounds top. Inspired boiler man!

Got to go to the post office later with DS, which let's face it is a top after school activity. Hate the way they've closed so many - always a massive queue. [sigh]

KurriKurri · 21/06/2011 15:45

Ooh ooh - My DD got a 2.1, - I'm so chuffed for her Smile[smile[Smile

pinkstarlight · 21/06/2011 15:47

amberlight · 21/06/2011 15:48

KK, yippeeee!!!!!!!!

Pink, no way does he have the right to dig up your plants like that - arrghh.

Love the idea of a gas-fired phone. could be just the thing on cold winter nights...

cakesandale · 21/06/2011 15:56

Pink - go and confiscate his spade!!!!!!

KK that is brilliant. Clever girl!

DD's teacher is on strike next Thursday. Sigh.

topsyturner · 21/06/2011 15:56

Well done junior kk . Brill news !

My dhs workmates used to call his (rather old fashioned) mobile "the talking brick" !

smee · 21/06/2011 16:07

2.1's brilliant. Woo-hoo for your girl, Kurri.

Pink, dig up his whole garden. If he gets cross, scream Breast Cancer at him. Got to be good for something. Grin

KurriKurri · 21/06/2011 16:24

MaryAnnSingleton · 21/06/2011 16:58

i should have realised my neighbour would get carried away at the bottom of my garden i have a blackberry bush that grows along side of the fence and the shed.i always leave it to do its thing and it kind of drapes over my shed roof and looks pretty when its in flower.the other week he knocked and said he needed to mend his fence so could he cut the bush back a bit as it was starting to grow over his fence.i went out and got a call from my daughter saying the guy next door was on my shed roof when i came back hed cut it down to a stump .

looks like i need to keep all plants out of reach of his garden even if it means crawlling out on my hands and feet to dig my own borders,i have come to the conclusion hes a garden control freak.

amberlight · 21/06/2011 17:47

Legally he can only cut the things that are over his boundary, and then not in any way that damages the actual health of the plant/bush/tree. And he must give you back the cuttings, too. Not that this is very helpful unless you happen to be a Judge, of course.

pinkstarlight · 21/06/2011 18:26

well he did fill my bin with my lavender plant does that count,i must be the only person in the world raiding my own bin for cuttings of my own lavender plant. im not happy grrrrr

topsyturner · 21/06/2011 19:00

Just remembered another question I wanted to ask .
This one is for anyone who has had a mastectomy .
How long after surgery did you need pain relief for ? And what kind of pain relief did you use ?

Thanks again !

And as for the plant destroyer , I would go batshit on him !
