It's not especially yellow, and I try to get her to drink plenty of water, but it does smell bad. No change in diet, and she's not sore. Any suggestions? Should we see the GP?

Yes you need to rule out infection. Take a sample in this morning.

IMO unlikely to be an infection without fever/pain, what sort of smell though? sweet? fishy? is she still in nappies?

Just smells really sour, I would have expected it to be dark coloured but it's not especially. No pain or fever, she's fine.

She's not in nappies in the day time.

I would have to make an appointment I think, to take in a sample.
