Just started ds5 on Eye Q tablets, can I expect results soon?

Yesterday I bought ds5 some Eye Q tablets and to my astonishment and joy he swallowed them no problems first time. He now has to take 6 a day for 12 weeks and then probably drop down to 2. I hear of people saying they notice a change in 2 weeks...is this likely. i have read threads on here before that some children dont get on with Eye Q. The vitamin lady in Boots highly recommended Eye Q so I have gone with it. Ive read the leaflet in the box but wanted to hear some stories from real people.

Think it took several weeks before we noticed a positive difference. We do now notice if ds misses a day though as he becomes excitable and won't concentrate.

But on the whole you would say its worth it. How old is you ds and how much has school work improved as a result? My ds's teacher says he has very poor concentration, eye contact and writing and he struggles to remain focused during spelling tests or written work.

Hard to measure the improvement as ds (7) has changed schools thsi year and at the time he started them (18 months ago) he also began regular OT sessions. He made definite improvements all round as a result though - his reading was already good but I'd say it has improved his distractability and made him more open to learning, I think, even practical things like tying laces which previously he would refuse to try. His written work is still fairly limited though and the school are focussing on his handwriting atm.

Distractability is certainly what Im hoping to improve, so fingers crossed. I just hope he is excited about swallowing the tablets in a few weeks time!
