Just wondered as have prescribed the nail paint Phytex and gp told me it could take a long time to treat but wasn't keen on prescribing me the tablets. Its a pain, really want to get rid of it but conscious of it looking horrible, can't put nail polish on as got to put the nail paint on twice day.
Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions or tips for speeding up the process.

Thanks!

Deluded myself for 15 years that tea tree oil was working. Then 3 years of Curanail.

Tablets are the business.

Vicks vapour rub worked for mine. Didn't like the sound of side effects for the treatments from the GP. I used it daily on the affected nails for about 6 months and is gone now!

My DH had the Lamasil tablets for 3 months, his cleared up (but there are potential side effects and it's £££)

I always advice patients to try Loceryl (it;s on GP prescription, 99% of my patients don't pay - either excempt or diabetic (or both)

Loceryl is once a week so you could apply then put nail varnish over, to remove after 7 days and re-apply.
Tea Tree Oil can drip under the nail .

Or they can apply Tea Tree Oil daily on the nail plate.

I've never seen any post treatment Laser but I'm sure we won't get them in the NHS .

This is going to sound weird, but I used neat bleach on mine. It was the only thing that worked! I mentioned it to the doctor, he looked surprised but said it wouldn't do any harm.

Learned the trick from my horses farrier of all people. My friend had a horse with a fungal hoof infection that nothing would cure. So the farrier said to scrub with bleach and it cleared it up. I figured if it was ok for a horse it was ok for me (and it worked!)

Hi,
I want to use FUNGUSMAT which I have heard that it is the best anti-fungal treatment on the market, anyone has tried it? someone told me that it is not recommended for pregnant women? is that correct?

Thanks
