he is never one to complain about anything but I've known something is up with him for a week or so. Today he told me that his 'tummy doesnt feel right' - (waving in the general area of his middle) and hes been getting 'discomfort' in his right side like a stitch which is getting worse. turns out its been going on for 2 weeks. He agreed without argument to make an appt with the gp on Monday. Thats the bit that worries me most - he never sees his gp ever. No other symptoms at all.

I dunno why but my imagination is running absolutely riot about it. Tell me not to be silly please.

Right side pain trailing round below his right ribs. Sounds like gall stones.

Does it get worse with fatty food and alcohol?

When he goes to the GP make sure mentions gall stones. GPs seem to just dismss it as a possibility. He need to push and hassle for an ultrasound scan.

I had them for 18 months and my friends said I aged 10 years and looked green.

If he suddenly starts vomiting and has severe pain get him to A&E. That may well be biliary colic when a stone gets stuck.

It could be many other things but he needs to eliminate gall stones as a possibility.

it doesnt really seem to get worse or better with anything. I will get him to mention gall stones but I wont say anything until Monday. I will get him to a&e if it suddenly gets acute. I really really hope it doesnt.
