Any opticians about?

Had an eye test the other day and the optician mentioned my eye pressure was slightly raised one is 21.7 the other 21.3.
How long should I leave it before I get them checked again?
Thanks

Where I work, we would get you back in in a couple of days to recheck. Did they use the puff of air in the eye method (non-contact tonometer'? This can be inaccurate and we would always double check with a 'contact tonometer' to be sure if pressures were over 21.

Thanks Idlegirl, I'm not sure which method they used, I had to hold my eye on a box thing there were 4 green lights with a red light in the middle and than it puffed into my eye, they repeated the test twice. They said just get it checked next time your in.

That would have been non-contact which can be the slightly less accurate of the two versions if the thickness of the front of your eye (the cornea) is not what the machine would take to be 'standard'- god, it all sounds so dull, even to me!!
I would give them a ring and ask them to clarify exactly when they want you to return to have them checked. If they are still above 21 you can then ask to have the contact version of the test to double check the results more accurately.

Thanks idlegirl, have to go and pick up glasses Monday, so will ask then.
