Try LOADS of Echinacea or garlic capsules.

Try taking Gelsemium - homeopathic remedy. You can get it from Boots, I think (or other chemists).

Have you tried that new Vick's 'First Defense' stuff?

no cure for the common cold - ride it out!

I was at the doctor this morning with dd, who's been under the weather for the past two weeks. I also asked the doctor what I should take, as I've been teetering on the edge of catching what dd's got. He advised Day Nurse, vitamin C, lots of fluids, and for what it's worth, said that a recent study showed echinacea was worthless as a cold prevention solution.

My MIL swears by Vit C - 1 high dose tab every couple of hours for the first day of feeling that itchy feeling in the back of your throat. Worked for me and I get everything going!!

Also wash you hands lots and try not to rub your eyes after blowing your nose - the easiest way to get a bug in your system is through your eyes.

Take care

My pharmacist said that echinacea won't prevent a cold but can help you to recover more quickly.
