thyroid tests

had blood tests done tuesday. wednesday was phoned by docs and asked to have more blood tests done for thyroid. why do they need more blood tests? will go tomorrow but they will have to use other arm as im still bruised. atleast i dont have to fast this time!

does this mean i have or havent got hyperthyroidism?

if its borderline, or shows up as positive, they retest - then again they could have just lost or contaminated the tests & need a new one

My test has come back as positive & borderline in the past, retests - negative

I've also had them contaminate the sample & it need to be re-done

So it can mean nothing at all, or just that they are not sure & need to double check - apparently tests can be borderline/positive but you still have a healthy thyroid - at least thats what my GP reckons - got to admit I;m not 100% convinced of that with my own
