lump on my buttocks

About a month ago, I discovered a lump on the side of my buttocks. My GP thinks it is a lipoma, fatty cells, but sent me for an ultrasound just in case.
However, starting to panic as there is a month untill the date of ultrasound and after doing some research, I found out that it actually could be a liposarcoma, which should be removed straight away. I should go private. Where ca I find an oncologist?

Don't panic! if your doctor was concerned you'd have been sent straight away for a scan- if you're worried go back to your GP and ask about it I'm sure he/she will put your mind at rest

If your GP thinks it is a lipoma then it probably is...which is very reassuring.

If there was any sign of anything more spooky you would NOT have had to wait a month for an ultrasound/MRI or whatever...you would have been rushed through for further examination.
