Endo after pregnancy?

DD is 10m old, and has been BF: I haven't had a period since giving birth Had really heavy periods when I was younger, then went on pill. Took ages to get my period back when I came off the pill, then got pregnant first month we tried.

For the last 4 months I've been getting pains every 3/4 weeks which last anywhere between 3-10 days. Pain is around the right hip - like a constant cramp, which then sometimes radiates down my leg. Anti-inflammatories and ibuprofen get rid of it. I don't feel any pain for the rest of the month. The pain isn't aggravated by walking or exercising, and I haven't had any bleeding.

Have been googling (bad idea I know) and a lot of my symptoms seem to point to endo. Is this likely or is something like sciatica a more probable explanation?

I went to the GP about a pain I was getting just above my right hip, sometimes radiating down my leg. always around ovulation time.

She said my hip joint was buggered. I was worried about ovary problems so she gave me an internal Hmm (should have left at the point with hindsight) which proved nothing.

After an ectopic pregnancy it turns out I have endo, and the pain is much better after some tidying up of the endo tissue.

Haven't been back to that GP.

piprabbit so sorry to hear about your ectopic - glad that you're feeling better (and don't blame you for not wanting to return to that GP!).

Good to see I'm not totally barking up the wrong tree - have been to the GP yesterday and he's referred me for some tests so hopefully if there's something there, it'll show...

Good luck with the tests - hope you get some answers soon.
