Help - lump on tonsil

Have had a sore throat for a few weeks but nothing dreadful and only on the right side. Had a look in the car mirror today and saw that there is a lump on one tonsil with spots on it. It's not like a swollen tonsil it looks to me like a whole separate bit of it. Any thoughts? I have tried to make a Dr appointment but they're always so busy. Do you think I should see a Dr? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you should see a doc - you may need some abs!

Tonsils can get things called 'crypts' on them, which can be extraordinary shapes - I've not had one, but did see some pictures of them once. But you're best off seeing a doctor, for sure. Hope its better soon!
