When you've been ill how long does it take for periods to come back?

Because I think I've missed 2 now and its really beginning to bug me

not pregnant but was quite ill for about 5 weeks

Quite a while I should think, I had cancer, a 4 hour operation and a months radiotherapy and still the buggers came, consider yourself lucky.
