Mole-type thing appeared on forehead

over the last couple of weeks a slightly raised flesh coloured thing has appeared near my hairline- under fringe thank goodness.
It's a bit crusty, and bleeds if I pick it ( sorry that sounds gross but I scratched it without realising what it was)
I'm sure I've had one on my leg which just went away....worth a visit to dr?

Dp has the same sort of thing on his forehead. He went to the dr yesterday and has been referred to the hospital for tests. So I would go if I was you. Probably nothing but best to find out sooner than later.
