Sharp pains - any ideas?

Hi, this is quite embarassing - but I wanted to know if anyone else had any ideas.
When I was in 3rd trimester of pregnancy I had some sharp pains in my vagina basically! They felt like someone was stabbing me with a knife. I thought it was the baby putting pressure on my bladder or something like that, I didnt talk to midwife at the time as the care I got wasnt that good and I would see a different midwife every
time I went for a check up.
A couple of days ago I got the same pain again, and it really hurt, I was out walking at the time and had to stop to recover.
I had a c section so didnt know if it was this(which would be unlikely as I had it when pregnant too), or if it could be a water infection, sorry to go on but need some advice.

hi, sounds like the SPD I had when pregnant ... although it did go after my c-section so I'm not entirely sure!

mumfor1sttime · 06/11/2005 20:16

What is spd? Thanks!

I had this too... I was out shopping with my mum and it took my breath away, I just wanted to cross my legs, it didn't last long though only a matter of seconds, but enough to make me do a sharp intake of breath.
