I'm alright during the day, but as soon as i get into bed i start coughing. I'm awake for bloody hours cough cough cough cough cough coughing. It's disturbing manshape and DS3 who's in his cot in our room. Obviously distrubing my sleep too.

I ususally have two pillows but since having this cough - about a fortnight now - i try to sleep as upright as possible, and i have a drink.

Is this something you'd bother the doctor with?

Are you recovering from a cold or throat infection, OP?

Hi Dee Have you tried Boots Bronchial Cough Mixture. It is the one you mix with water. It is very good. Tastes horrible though. I keep a bottle in the cupboard always. Worth a try. xx

Heartburn? That's a prime cause of night coughing.

Second heartburn - try buying some Zantac over the counter, and see if it helps?

Otherwise, its very normal for coughs to last for 3 weeks, any more than that (or any new symptoms) see your doctor....

ps I do like 'manshape', not seen that before and may have to steal Wink
