Achey breast, freaking out!

My right breast feels very achey, and I am (as a worrier generally) freaking out that it could be a symptom of cancer. Its not there all the time, but a lot of the time, I have no lumps or changes to breasts...anyone?

I have this, had it checked out- Dr referred me to a consultant, had mammogram and ultrasound. Turned out to be only cysts thankfully. Vey common cause of breast pain apparently and pain can be worse at different times in your cycle. Consultant recommended evening primrose, hot baths and breast massage , avoidance of nictotine, caffine and cut down on dairy fats/use soya.

I would recommend you get it checked out however.

I have a very achy breast & have been to my GP she couldn't feel any lumps but has referred me to the breast clinic as it aches most of the time. I am taking EPO which hasn't helped as yet. I have been suffering with anxiety since Jan & I must admit I do dwell on the pain which seems to make it worse. I am waiting for an appt for the breast clinic which isn't helping GP seems to think that it should be within a month & that I should get results on the same day. Good luck I know what your going through.

I have painful/twingy right breast sometimes. Couple of years ago felt almost bubble wrappy in bits and really hurt. GP just kept eye on it and pain faded as did bubble wrap feel. However right side always feels bit more lumpy at various times of cycle than left and also more twingy.
I was not referred to breast clinic though would go back to GP swiftly if felt such pain again. [I'm in 40s and had kids late. Doc thought milk ducts may have been problem- though had stopped breast feeding 10 months before].
Try not to worry, most likely to be non sinister. [Hard I know, I worried a lot cos I always do!] .
