I think I have a rectocele - Help!

Ok probably TMI but in shower the other day could feel a bulge in back wall of vagina and when I pushed it I could feel that it was my rectum. I have no other clinical signs, sex feels ok, no incontinence and Ok to toilet. Have googled it and come up with rectocele.

Had vaginal birth 5 months ago, vontouse with mild 3rd degree tear which has healed well. Know I need to go see a doctor, but would like to be armed with some info. Really scared a) that they say will need surgery and b) that it will stop me having a VB for future pregnancies. Husband works away so any lengthy recuperation would be a nightmare.

Is there anyone who can reassure me? Know it isn't as bad as it could be reading other threads, but a bit down about it still.

I have a rectocele. Don't panic! It usually doesn't need any surgery and if it isn't causing you any problems, then there's no need to see a doctor.

I'm pretty sure I've had one since ds1 was born four years ago, I went to the gp once who said that it was mild, I've had another baby since then and it doesn't seem any worse (ds2 was a bit smaller than ds1 which I think helped) I have no symptoms apart from sometimes feeling the need to poo even when I don't actually think there is more than a tiny bit there which is annoying but not a huge problem. I reckon I might want something to be done about it when I get older though.
