Implant, bf and bleeding.....

realize this could also go in bf and fp boards, but...

Had implant fitted a few weeks ago. Ds is 13 weeks old and ebf. Started bleeding on Tues, fairly light, but still going on and now feels heavier with v mild cramps. The gp said bleeding was a side effect but as I was ebf I shouldn't have any!

Anyone have experience of this? I don't think I can cope with bleeding indefinitely. Would much rather have predictable periods, feel shite for a few days then back to normal, but I looked into all the contraceptive options after having ds and thought this would suit me best.....

I had a implant fitted a few years ago, althought I'd had a really successful experience with a previous type of implant I just had continuous bleeding with the new one and it never settled down.

I'm sure often it does settle down, so its worth waiting a few weeks to see.

I had a copper coil fitted after dc2 was born and that was fine, although it did make my periods much heavier, I'll probably have another fitted after this baby.
