Hi all... I'm a mum to 2 children and I developed hemarroids with both pregnancies. I've had them now for 11 yrs and they flare up all the time and are horrid! They bleed, swell.. and are a pain to clean! I was wondering if any one else has had experience with them. I am thinking of going to the dr's to ask about having them removed.... but is it worth it, dose it work? how long dose it take to heal from having them removed?... unsure what to do!...
Advice would be great - thanks

I used to work for a surgeon who did this among other stuff. Sometimes they are really easy to get rid of. Especially if they are just polyps and not really hems. Not really sure how the medical system works in the UK but I would say it wouldn't hurt to at least check with a Dr. and see what your options are. It was very normal an ho- hum for the office staff so no need to be embarrassed. :) hth
