Vaccination Batch Numbers- Should You Ask?

Can anyone confirm if vaccine batch numbers are freely available to parents at the time of a childs vaccination. I just wondered if the patient has the right to this information at the time of the vaccination. I understand that it is very difficult to obtain these from your GP should a problem arise in the future and you need the batch number/s at a later date.

They should be documented in the red book or are for my dc (5&20wks)

should be in your red book but will always be recorded in your child's medical records to which you have access if you ask
